Sail the Rover

The Merry Rover is a steel hulled twin masted schooner designed by Merritt Walter. Though built in 1984, she has the look and feel of a 1700's trade schooner. There is no Rover factory. Each one is custom designed and built. This is hull #1 of the Merry Rover class and we are honored to be her caretaker.

The schooner was a favorite of privateers, smugglers and pirates. Mainly because of her speed, size, small crew requirements, and her ability to navigate shallow waters where the RoyalNavy could not follow.
