More about Sailor's Delight Back Bay Fishing

At Sailor's Delight we offer our customers fishing excursions to the calm, protected waters of the back bays and inlets that separate the Island of the Wildwoods from the mainland!

It is in these waters that we give the novice and expert alike the same shot at mixed-bag favorites like fluke and weakfish, striped bass, warm water exotics, and even tasty blue-claw crabs, all in a professional and courteous setting.

We offer our best to you: rod rental, bait, mate services, parking, and fish bags are all included in the price.

Why ride for an hour or more to some offshore fishing ground when you can be fishing fifteen minutes or less from leaving the dock? We are located at No Bones Bait and Tackle, and in some occasions, we can be fishing within FIVE MINUTES of leaving the dock!

Fishing in the back bays and inlets are a calmer alternative to fishing in the open ocean. Remember, it's harder to get sea sick in the back bays!

We are the new boat in town, with a new set of ideals of what "Party Boat Fishing" should be. For that, we will always strive to make that extra effort to make your fishing trip one that you will always remember, and one you will want to make again and again!

The Environmentally Friendly Choice.

Artisan Fishing, using only hook and line, while adhering to state and federal regulations, is the most environmentally sustainable way a person can put fresh fish on the dinner table. At Sailor's Delight, we practice hook and line harvest, and we have professional fish cleaners at your service to assure that as little waste is made from every harvested fish. Whether you want a whole body for the grill, or you prefer filets, you can be assured you will get all the meat we can give you from your catch. Our fish cleaners will even clue you into under-utilized edible parts of fish such as cheeks, roe, and throats, which are actually all delicacies in other places.

At Sailor's Delight we reuse as much of each fish harvested as we can. We use the offal and bones as bait in our crab traps or as chum, we use unwanted ribs and skins as fluke bait, and any unwanted fish are not wasted, but released immediately.

As Sailor's Delight, our customers also have access to a fishing-industry first, Concrete Sinkers! For use in areas where the potential to lose sinkers is high (like near jetties, structures, and bridges), our customers can opt to use LEAD-FREE Concrete sinkers produced exclusively by Sailor's Delight.
These concrete sinkers do not add unwanted lead waste to the marine environment, as opposed to their traditional counterparts.

The owner and crew of the Sailor's Delight even devoted the month of March this year in cruising yard sales, garage sales, trade shows, and websites for higher quality tackle items that may have otherwise ended up being discarded: one more example of smarter consumer practices!

The Best bait and tackle we can provide.

At Sailor's Delight we cut all of our bait by hand, utilizing all the parts of the squid, crabs, and fish we use. We also catch our own live bait when the season allows. This, coupled with our own hand-tied rigs and teasers, will give you more chances at bagging that doormat!
