Salem Lutheran Home

For over 80 years, Salem Lutheran Home has been proud to provide four levels of assisted living care, two levels of memory care programs, and skilled nursing in our Care Center for seniors. An oasis of tranquility within the heart of the East Bay, Salem’s cottages blend with apartments along a tree-lined street within our 5-acre campus. Reminiscent of a Scandinavian village, our community provides a family-focused, homelike atmosphere for almost 200 residents. From our gardens and walking path, to our library, onsite beauty salon, and group exercise classes including yoga and tai chi, Salem is a special place.

As a registered Eden Alternative Community, we base our care on the core principle that growing older should be a continued stage of development. We offer our residents opportunities to give meaningful care to other living things, and are dedicated to the philosophies of our sponsor, The Sierra Pacific Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America. We are a non-denominational community open to all faiths.
