We sell Annuals, Perennials, Vegetable starts, beautiful Hanging Baskets, Deck Planters, Organic Soils and Fertilizers. We also have Yard Art, Pottery, Trees, Shrubs, Rose's, and so many other unique products. We use beneficial insects to stay as organic as possible, always keeping in mind that product quality and price are our main concern. We DO NOT sell chemicals of any kind and believe your safety and ours comes first.

Employees

Most of our staff have worked at Salida Greenhouse for years, and have the knowledge of what we sell and what will do best in the growing conditions at your home or office. Come on down and meet them, local people, with great attitudes, who only want to help you find the best selection for you garden. If you are new to the area, gardening can be a challenge in the Rocky Mountains, so their experience will save you time and money. Kelly runs the retail section of Salida Greenhouse, and if you just don't fall in love with her and her personality, I'd be surprised!

Since we are a retail/wholesale operation we welcome not only the general public but also landscapers, retail nurseries, and all other businesses in the horticulture field. Wholesale prices available.

We also have a lawn care team that consists of 2 of our sons, Michael and Jacob. They can handle all of lawn care needs. From basic cut and trim to power raking, fertilizing, and minor sprinkler repair. Our boys who are young men now, have been cutting grass since they were able to push a mower. The youngest, Jacob, who is 18 years old, has 10 years' experience alone. Both sons are in college but come home every spring to continue this part of our business. Michael, the second to youngest started cutting lawns when he was 6, and he is, what we call jokingly, a grass cutting robot, that boy can cut some grass. He started the lawn care business at Salida Greenhouse; they are great hardworking young men, you will enjoy the experience working with these two, and their friends who help out from time to time. Polite personalities, no sagging pants to deal with, strictly professional.

Owners

Genene Phillips, owner, has a degree in horticulture, licensed and insured, provides help with landscape design projects both big and small. Having over 30 years' experience, she has a real talent of being able to design landscapes that are unique and totally different for each situation in your yard or commercial project. No two jobs are the same, I think she is an artist, who is practical, cost effective, and just is one of the best in the business. Genene prior work experience will impress you, but she is very down to earth, and is also is our Head Grower in the greenhouse.
