Salon St. Johns

Salon St. Johns formerly Leta and Co. comes from a proud Putnam County family history of providing more than 50 years of quality hair, nail ,and skin care services.

Margaret Preston, founder of “Margaret’s Beauty Shop”, began her cosmetology career in 1932 in “Ruth’s Beauty Shop” located in the 500 block of Lemon Street (now called St. Johns Ave). In 1953 she opened a “one-chair” shop in the Preston home at Moseley and Lemon Street.

Since 1953, Margaret’s Beauty Shop has made four major expansions to better serve its customers. Two of the expansions were under the direction of Margaret herself and two under her daughter, Leta Preston Clark. Later in 1983, Leta changed the name to “Leta & Company”.

In our next chapter Leta and Co, was purchased by Kim Futch Culpan, a 36 year employee of both Margret and Leta.

Salon St. Johns currently offers a full range of hair care services and products, nail care, and skin care. We also offer Massage Therapy from a licensed therapist. Salon St. Johns is proud to serve Putnam County and its surrounding areas with highly trained professionals. We continue our training to offer the most current styles and techniques
