Salute to America

Salute to America is Missouri's State Capitol Independence Day celebration. Held in historic downtown Jefferson City (voted Rand McNally's America's Most Beautiful Small Town), this multi-day festival covers 17 city blocks of themed activities and attractions, 7 entertainment stages, 2 beer gardens, a carnival, classic car show, petting zoo, tours at the decommissioned Missouri State Penitentiary, hotdog eating contest, patriotic parade, free concerts and the largest shells shot in the Midwest at the Red, White and Boom fireworks sky concert.
