Salvation Army - Richmond ARC

The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center in Richmond has been serving men in need since 1885. We operate a 81 bed facility in the heart of the city through which we house, feed, train, and educate individuals to become more socially responsible. Each man is given a job through their Work Therapy to learn job skills, to be retrained to handle responsibilities, and to gain self-confidence.
The ARC is completely funded by donations and the proceeds from our Family Stores. When donors utilize our donation boxes or call in for a donation pick-up, those items are processed by the men at the ARC warehouse facility and then placed in the Family Stores for sale. These proceeds are the primary funding the ARC receives to house our men, to assist them in their challenges with substance abuse, and to help them rebuild bridges that would promote social responsibility.
