More about Salvation Church

Salvation Church was incorporated in December, 1999 by Pastor Jerry L. Taylor. The expressed purpose and vision of this newly established church was to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ. The original founding incorporators were Jerry Taylor, Darlene Taylor and Gloria Davenport. Our church scripture is found in Psalm 27:1 The Lord is my light and my Salvation. Our beginning was like Abraham, the father of faith…it was indeed a walk of FAITH. Pastor’s messages were prophetic, strong and positive, laced with a dry wit and saturated with the anointing of God. Pastor Taylor desired to establish a work where the power is in the pews! Salvation Church is renown as a church with “Ministry of Love” to all colors & creeds, here you experience the Love of God and the gospel truth! It’s the gospel of the Kingdom of our LORD & Savior Jesus Christ. Our church scripture theme is Psalm 27:1 “The Lord is my Light and my Salvation”. In 2002 we began to seek in earnest a church home of our own. On October 26, 2003 we purchased not one but 2 church properties located 75 E. 83rd St. Chicago, IL 60619 (Church) & 69 E. 83rd St. (Annex) Chicago, IL. On March 28, 2004 our late blessed Bishop Arthur M. Brazier dedicated our church facilities unto the Lord Jesus for the building of God’s Kingdom. There we apostolically open our doors for intense training and spiritual development to not only our member’s but to churches, pastors and ministers who are drawn by the Holy Spirit to network and serve Jesus Christ our King. The ministry outreach has touched many lives and has partnered with other ministries to extend the ministry of Jesus Christ. Pastor Taylor’s teaching and preaching has reached across many denomination walls and has galvanized other pastors with the spirit of unity. The half has not been told concerning the lives touched and ministered to in the past 12 years. In 2010 Apostle Jerry Taylor established the Apostolic Kingdom Network, a network affiliation group fostering ministry accountability, fellowship and worldwide evangelism. Our central goal is the salvation of souls. Our vision is highlighted by with 3 operational components: 1. Spiritual Empowerment. 2. Community Empowerment and 3. Kingdom Economic Empowerment. It’s the revolution of God’s Kingdom! By Manifesting the Kingdom! We shall humbly continue the work of the Lord and follow His kingdom strategies for spreading His gospel and expanding His Kingdom for His honor and for His Glory, Amen!
