More about San Francisco 49ers Community

"Every Sunday in the Fall we do everything we can to win. All year long, we do everything we can to support our community."

The San Francisco 49ers Foundation is the non-profit community funding extension of the San Francisco 49ers. Now in its 21st year, the 49ers Foundation supports development programs for underserved youth that keep them, “Safe, On Track, and In School." The San Francisco 49ers are promoting RESPECT for schools and community by donating a significant portion of the foundation’s funding toward family violence prevention programs and activities that teach youth leadership and respect. Since 1992, the Foundation has donated over $20 million to support non-profits, including $2.9 million in 2012.

Each year the 49ers Foundation hosts several fundraising events to support the Foundation’s mission:

Touchdown For Kids Program:

There is even more of a reason to celebrate the 49ers on-field success in 2013. With each touchdown, field goal, interception or sack, much needed funding will be directed toward improving the lives of local youth in need via the Taube Family Foundation and Koret Foundation Touchdowns for Kids Program. During the 2011 season, the Taube Family Foundation and the Koret Foundation, via the San Francisco 49ers Foundation, donated $200,000 to support preselected Bay Area charitable organizations. In 2012, the number increased to $500,000. For 2013, beneficiaries include: 49ers Academy, Breakthrough Silicon Valley, East Palo Alto Tennis and Tutoring Project, Juma Ventures, Navy Seal Foundation – Family Support Program and Silicon Valley Education Foundation. 49ers Foundation Winter Fest:

Since its inception in 2001, the 49ers Foundation Winter Fest weekend has been one of the premier fundraising events for the 49ers Foundation. Squaw Valley comes alive during the three-day event which includes 49ers coaching Chalk Talks; mingling with the coaches, players, ownership and alumni; family activities such as cupcake tasting, snow-lympics and skiing, ice skating, and curling with Olympians; silent and live auctions; cooking demonstrations; wine tasting featuring over 20 vintners from the Napa Valley region; live music and great food. Over the past 13 years, this event has raised $10.85 million.

Hedge Funds Care:

The 49ers Foundation partners annually with Hedge Funds Care, an industry alliance formed with the sole mission of raising funds to support the prevention and treatment of child abuse and neglect, to host the West Coast Open Your Heart to the Children Benefit. Since its inception in 1988, Hedge Funds Care has awarded more than 900 grants totaling more than $32M.

Hillsborough Concours d'Elegance:

The 57th Hillsborough Concours d’Elegance will be hosted on Sunday, July 21, 2013 at the Crystal Springs Golf Course in Burlingame, CA from 10 AM – 4 PM. Beneficiaries include the Hillsborough Schools Foundation, the 49ers Foundation and Autism Speaks.
