The San Francisco Empowerment Center is a non-profit community agency dedicated to provide, educate, and support the people of San Francisco. We provide community services including information referrals for low income housing and food stamps, counseling, translation, advocacy, citizenship classes and ESL classes for adults. In addition, the center holds fun and innovative activities and classes such as photography, ballroom/line dancing, and sushi-making with a professional sushi chef.
In collaborating with other community-based organizations, we offer ongoing services requested or as needed to meet community needs. Most of our services are provided and supported solely by volunteers, and these services and activities are either free or at a low cost. Volunteers and community participation are always welcomed and needed.
We encourage participants to give us feedback to improve our center. If we do not have the answer, will work dilligently to find one. Donations are always appreciated as all our services are volunteer-based and are currently not government funded. Your donation is tax deductible.
