SJCAGCOMM enforces the provisions of the California Food and Agricultural Code for the protection of the public's health, safety and welfare, and to promote and protect the agricultural industry. Our Weights and Measures Division tests, seals, or condemns all commercial weighing and measuring devices in the county; performs vapor recovery system inspections; inspects prepackaged items to assure content; tests and inspects petroleum products for quality and label truth; and, regulates procedures used by Weighmasters to issue certificates for the sale of bulk products.
