San Luis Obispo Christian School (SLOCS) was established in 1993 by a small group of families from Vineyard Church who gathered together to form a home school co-op. The school met two (2) days a week at a location on Lizzie Street and moved to its present site at the Family Christian Center (FCC) in 1997.
SLOCS has since become an independent, non-profit Christian school; the only non-denominational Christian school in San Luis Obispo. SLOCS offers full-time academics for K-6 grades. The primary purpose of SLOCS is to serve San Luis Obispo and the surrounding area by partnering with parents to raise children with Christian foundations that will last a lifetime and provide them with the highest academic standards available.
SLOCS joins with parents in working together to prepare children for a lifetime of learning and to encourage childrens' spiritual, intellectual, social, and emotional growth.
