San Roque Parish RE Program

The Religious Education Program at San Roque Parish is dedicated to living out Jesus' call to spread the Word of God. We do this by offering a program that helps students not enrolled in Catholic schools to understand the importance of God in our lives, yet we welcome those that are enrolled in Catholic school as well. With this program, we hope to help children grow spiritually so that they can relate their life at church with the life they live at home and in school. Each year is planned out to take what students have already learned and build upon it, further strengthening their relationship with Jesus and creating bonds with fellow Catholics their own age. We teach students from different age groups, from Preschool children learning in our Little Church program to high school students going through Confirmation. We also include lessons during key religious holidays as well as family assemblies where we invite you to join us.

In addition to our usual curriculum, we also provide a program to students in Third grade and beyond that didn't receive the sacraments of Baptism, First Reconciliation and First Eucharist. This program is designed to help older students that didn't have an opportunity to perform these sacraments alongside their peers by "fast-tracking" them through these sacraments. This would include both group and individual discussions about the sacraments and the rituals involved in them. We also have a program for adults that wish to become Catholic known as the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults- commonly known by the acronym RCIA. RCIA helps lead adults through the journey of Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist with the support of the parish community.
