Sandoval County Public Works Department

The Public Works Department manages the infrastructure that supports all county government operations. The department handles maintenance and upkeep of all county facilities, as well as the county's vehicle fleet.

The Sandoval County Solid Waste Division, which manages the county landfill and recycling center, also is part of the Public Works Department.

The department also maintains the 3,170 miles of roads that fall within the county's jurisdiction. The road maintenance staff performs services ranging road blading and paving to snow removal, fence repair and trimming obtrusive vegetation.

Landfill Hours: Monday through Saturday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., closed Sundays and most holidays.
