The IIA presents the 13th Annual, Santa Fe Days in the Park, March 18th & 19th, 2017 at Sandy Lake Amusement Park 1800 Sandy lake road Carrollton, TX 75006.

Park admission is $2.00 per person.

The actual event is free to the public. There is plenty of free parking.. Special Guest WWII Navajo Code Talker and author, Samuel Holiday will be book signing prior to and during the event.. Artist, Native Foods and Sponsorship information is available at iiamericas.org or www.santafedays.com. Santa Fe Days showcases the handmade works of American Indian artisans from all parts of the United States.
Between 10:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. both days of the event, visitors can explore and purchase true, natural turquoise jewelry, beautiful sterling silverwork, beadwork, leather work, hand-tied dance shawls, knives and one of a kind paintings, all handcrafted by authentic Native American Indian jewelers and artisans.

Come experience the richness and diversity of American Indian cultures including the sights and sounds of Plains Indian Dancers and the Mitotiliztli Yaoyollohtli Aztec Dancers with the vibrant beat and songs of southern drum group, Str8 South Singers.Patrons will have the opportunity to hear stories from long ago. Indian Tacos and Fry bread from four of the best cooking groups in North Texas.
The event is fun for all ages. Children and families will be able to learn about the Three sisters, corn-beans-squash. Beautiful demonstrations of beadwork, and other interactive opportunities.. This year’s cultural path features a unique interactive, educational opportunity to learn about Native American Indian medicine practices with plants and food. Families can even visit the Indigenous Grocery store to buy buffalo jerky and pemmican.
