Sarah Fague, LMT Therapeutic Massage

My name is Sarah Fague. I am a Licensed Massage Therapist and graduate of Lincoln Technical Institute. My passion for massage therapy began at the age of 12 when my beloved aunt moved in with my family after knee replacement surgery. A physical therapist would come to the house twice a week to treat her as I intently watched. She showed me different techniques I could do to help my aunt on the days she was not able to come.

I was amazed to see the progress she made day by day with my help. She began calling me her “Florence Nightingale”. It was at that moment I knew that I wanted to help people heal for the rest of my life.

In my eighth grade yearbook we were asked “What do you want to be when you grow up?” My answer? “Massage Therapist”.

The power of touch is the oldest and most natural form of healing. When someone is sad, we give them a hug. When they are sick, we rub their back. When they ache, we apply pressure. When someone feels alone, we hold their hand.

Since 2004 I’ve served as Office Manager for a full service neurosurgery practice. My responsibilities included assisting the physical therapy department and pain management clinic. I’ve worked hands on and have broad, extensive knowledge of patients with arthritis, traumatic spine injuries, post-surgical care, chronic pain conditions, soft tissue injuries, stress disorders and nerve compression conditions.

Years in the physical therapy clinic made it abundantly clear how integral massage therapy is to the healing process. Patients always responded immediately and positively to the massage portion of their treatment. It was this experience that finally drove me to go back to school to pursue my passion of massage.

I use a unique style of massage integrating several techniques into one session. Within this style of treatment I incorporate Swedish, deep tissue, Trigger Point therapy, Shiatsu, cupping for stubborn “knots”, hot stones for relaxation and grounding effects as well as aromatherapy and Reiki to guide your body towards peace and balance.

My pre-session approach ensures a full understanding of your goals. I will provide you with what I think would be the best course of treatment to gently usher your body to a state of self-healing. I understand massage can be vulnerable and a very personal experience and I strive to ensure you feel safe, comfortable and at ease.

I am a member of the American Massage Therapy Association, am certified in CPR and first aide and passed an extensive background check. I take continued education courses and practice with peer support groups within the Massage Therapy community.

My experience includes extensive work with clients from all walks of life including children, athletes, expectant mothers and the elderly.
