Saturday School

Saturday School provides students in Montgomery County, MD, grades K-12, with affordable programs and tutoring to help students become confident and successful learners.

We support students at all academic levels - from those that need extra help to stay on track, to more advanced students taking Advanced Placement sciences or wanting to prepare for the SAT/ACT exams.

For only a small fee, our twelve centers offer a 6th day of learning through certified teachers and a nurturing environment that help to enhance both students’ lives and their academic achievement.

Since 1986, Saturday School has served over 20,000 students. Nearly two-thirds of participants qualify for free and reduced price meals, and many are enrolled in English-as-a-Second-Language (ESOL).

Saturday School is a program of the non-profit George B. Thomas Learning Academy. The organization is a strategic partner of Montgomery County Public Schools and receives funding from MCPS, the Montgomery County Government, foundations, corporations, local businesses, and the generous members of our community.
