Savannah Arts Academy is a specialty-programs high school dedicated to the visual and performing arts, and is part of the Savannah Chatham County Public School System. The school offers a 4-year specialized and rigorous arts program which includes opportunities for students to major in communication arts, dance, theatre, visual arts, piano, chorus, band or orchestra. Savannah Arts Academy's mission is to develop graduates who exemplify academic and artistic excellence. Savannah Arts Academy was voted as the #1 high school in Georgia, Named in Newsweek’s list of Best American High Schools, GA “School of Excellence”2007-2011, and received the GA “Platinum Award” from 2005-2011, U.S. News and World Report magazine named SAA a Gold-Award and a Silver-Award winning school.
