The Saw Creek Martial Arts Study Club studies Kyokushin Karate - which is a style of stand-up, full contact karate that has had international appeal and over 12 million practitioners for the last 40+ years. Kyokushin is Japanese for "the ultimate truth", and rooted in a philosophy of self-improvement, discipline, hard training, and developing your warrior spirit.
In May 2015 The Saw Creek Martial Arts Study Club was officially formed. There were ten (10) members and nine (9) of them were Black Belts.
This is a "club" and is free to residents of Saw Creek Estates, the Falls Community, Mill Pond and their families. Over forty members have signed up and about 24 of them train on a regular basis.
We also teach defense against weapon attacks, anti-bullying, stranger danger and terrorism awareness. The club is open to all genders and ages and meets at the Top of the World Indoor Tennis Courts on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5:30 pm. We hope to see you there.
