School of Rock Mason

With more than 150 schools around the U.S., Mexico, Canada, Brazil, Australia, Panama, and the Phillipines, School of Rock is the largest after-school performance-based music education program in the nation. School of Rock Mason combines a powerful local program with the advantages of a national network. The keys to the local program are the best faculty of working musicians in the area operating out of an unmatched music facility: 5,000 sq ft that houses 8 lesson rooms, 2 band rehearsal rooms, a 1,600 sq ft performance space with professional stage, sound and lighting that can double as a third rehearsal room, a recording studio, a student lounge, and a reception lounge for parents. The national network provides opportunities for the best students in the system to join All Stars tours - multi-city tours complete with tour bus - and for all students to benefit from guest professors such as Vinnie Appice (drummer for Black Sabbath), Josh Klinghoffer (guitarist for Red Hot Chili Peppers), Earl Slick (guitarist for David Bowie and John Lennon), Jon Anderson and Steve Howe (vocalist and guitarist for Yes), and Mike Watt (bassist for The Stooges).
