VISION STATEMENT

School of Tyrannus International Ministries, Inc. -- A Christ-centered ministry in loving relationship with God and neighbor.

STATEMENT OF BELIEFS

We believe... the Bible to be the only inspired, infallible, inerrant, and authoritative Word of God...that there is only one God, eternally manifested as the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost in the divine being of our Lord Jesus Christ… in His Virgin birth… in His sinless life… in His miracles… in His unequivocal and atoning death for all our sins… in His bodily resurrection… in His ascension to the right hand of the Father… in His personal future return to this earth in power and glory to rule over the nations… in the rapture of the Church… that the only means of salvation is through repentance of sin, and faith in the precious blood of Jesus Christ… that salvation can not be earned with good actions, it is the free gift of God to all who believe… that there is no mediator between Jesus Christ and men… And that Jesus Christ is the one, and only mediator between God and men.

SENIOR PASTOR - WASH CARTHON JR.

Dr. Wash Carthon Jr. is the son of the late Wash Carthon Sr. and Bernice Carthon. He graduated from West Memphis Senior High school, Arkansas in May of 1978. He is married to Susan L. Carthon and has 3 beautiful children son Earl and daughters LaJuanda and Tonya. After accepting Jesus Christ as his personal Savoir, he realized that there was a call upon his life to pursue ministry as a Gospel preacher at the very early age of 12. He was ordained as a deacon at age 14. Dr. Carthon’s main objective is focused towards winning the young, and as well as the elderly, for the kingdom of God and helping them to accept the Word as a standard way of living while becoming more prosperous during their walk with the Lord Jesus Christ. Since graduating from high school and enlisting in the United States Navy in August of 1978, he has attended numerous Military Leadership, Management, and Instructional Schools. His ministry has escalated from his attendance and approach to higher education. He earned his Associate Degree (AGS) from Central Texas College in Killeen Texas, Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Liberal Arts from Excelsior College in Albany NY, and Master of Arts Degree in Human Resources Management from Webster University St. Louis MO. He is a graduate of International Apostolic University of Grace and Truth, in Dayton, OH, where he earned his Master Degree and Doctoral Degree in Christian Counseling.

Dr. Carthon retired as a Chief Warrant Officer 5 from the U.S. Navy he completed 31 years of Honorable Service. He organized and is presently the Senior Pastor and founder of School of Tyrannus International Ministries, Inc., located in Newport News, VA which primarily focused on the ministerial elements of outreach and evangelism. In the year of 1990 during his assignment at Lakehurst, NJ he established and organized a ministry called Jesus Christ Armed Forces Ministry. And, Dr. Carthon’s most treasured memories of ministry includes an establishment of a drug and alcohol rehabilitation program, instructing stress management, family service classes and foreign outreach evangelism. He is currently working with the Drug Court in the city of Newport News, VA as an alcohol and drug facilitator. Additionally, he is an employed government contractor working for the United States Navy as an Education Service Trainer, teaching Sailors and their families about the awareness of operational stress control.

Since 1987, Dr. Carthon has established and organized ministries onboard naval ships over hundreds of souls were saved, baptized and filled with the Holy Spirit. After hearing his anointed powerful teaching and preaching your life will be completely changed and empowered by the Holy Spirit.

SENIOR PASTOR AND FIRST LADY

First Lady Susan L. Carthon is the devoted wife of the Pastor of School of Tyrannus International Ministries Inc., Dr. Wash Carthon Jr. The couple has been united for over 30 years with three children, and four grandchildren. Her passion is about winning souls for the kingdom of God, working with our youth and taking care of the elderly.

First Lady was born and raised in Memphis Tennessee where she graduated from High school at Memphis Tech in June of 1978 in Memphis, Tennessee. She earned her Associate of Arts Degree at SouthEast College in Medical Technology with high honors. She accepted Christ as her personal Savior at a early age.

First Lady has her own platform, but foremost on her agenda she is an anointed Evangelist and teachings the word of God with simplicity. She supports and at all times seeks ways in helping to advance the church’s ten years visionary plan winning souls for the kingdom of God.

First Lady has served in various churches working with the youth. In addition, serving in the evangelist field to win souls for Christ in large metropolitan cities in the United States. She is actively involved in the Church's Prayer Service, Bible Study, Youth Ministry, and Women Ministry with a spiritual objective in becoming better acquainted with the Lord Jesus Christ. Her primary motive is an interest in the natural development and the spiritual growth of families and women.

As a Godly woman, the Lord is using her mightily to train Christian women to reach their utmost potential in Jesus Christ. Without question, the people of School of Tyrannus International Ministries have found her to be among the most compassionate, active, and gracious First Lady.
