Schools for Community Action (Augustus Hawkins Campus)

We are teachers, students, and families who came together to design 3 innovative small schools on a brand new campus in South LA. We will be opening these 3 schools August 14th, 2012, with 9th thru 11th grades. Our first graduating class of seniors will be the class of 2014. Each school is dedicated to a specific College and Career Path.
The schools are the following:

The Community Health Advocates School
- This school focuses on providing students with skills and knowledge to help launch them into college programs and career fields that deal with mental, social, emotional, and community health.

The Critical Design and Gaming School
- This school focuses on providing students with 21s century technological skills and knowledge to help them pursue careers and college programs in design and gaming.

The Responsible Indigenous and Social Entrepreneurship School
- This school focuses on providing students with 21st century business skills and knowledge to launch students into college and career paths into socially responsible and sustainable business.
