Visit a hidden paradise just 10 minutes south of Mendocino village. Pass under the historic Albion Bridge, off Hwy 1, to an unspoiled home to wild things. Each of our campsites is at the edge of the river, offering an unparalleled experience of observing wildlife up close. Seals, sea lions, herons and egrets abound. At low tide, watch the wading birds feed on crabs and eelgrass. At high tide, schools of herring might pass under your kayak. Explore the ocean at the Albion Cove, or paddle upriver.
We are beginning an extensive restoration project, inviting the native vegetation and creatures back into our site. Watch the transformation, as human impact is minimized and the river allowed to shape the place.
This is a wild place.
We are all guests of the River
