Schumacher Homes is truly a custom home building company that also specializes in renovations and additions. Michael believes that building or remodeling homes should be a pleasant, enjoyable experience for the homeowner. About his company, Michael says, "working with homeowners to create a finished product that's within budget and on-time is my number one goal. However, I also love what I do- taking owners' dreams from blue-prints to reality." Schumacher Homes provides its clients with a one-on-one relationship with Michael. He is on his job sites multiple times a day and supervises all aspects of the daily construction processes. Because Schumacher Homes is not a developer nor a speculative builder, Michael is able to provide clients with close attention to detail and craftsmenship that sets him apart from all the other builders and that is what makes Schumacher Homes the sole name in custom homes.

Michael Schumacher grew up in Auburn, AL and from a young age knew he wanted to have a career in the construction industry. During his high school years, Michael spent the summers working odd construction jobs and watching how various companies conducted their businesses. An Auburn High School alumnus, Michael enjoyed living in his hometown, so he decided to attend Auburn University for college. Upon graduating Cum Laude from AU in 2003, Michael accepted a position with a growing construction company in Birmingham, AL. Although he was excited where his career opportunities would take him, he was hesitant and saddened about leaving his favorite town.

It was with this first "real" job that Michael gained experience in both the commercial and residential building arenas. After a year in Birmingham, Michael's job transferred him back to Auburn where he enthusiastically helped launch their new office. Over the years, Michael has also worked with other general contractor companies doing predominately residential home building with some light commercial construction, but his passion lies in custom home building. In 2008 the time felt right for Michael to venture into business for himself; that is when Schumacher Homes, LLC was created. Schumacher Homes is a residential custom homebuilder licensed in the State of Alabama.
