Schuyler Mansion State Historic Site

Summer 2017:
Schuyler Mansion opens for the 2017 Season on Wednesday, May 17th, 2017. Through October, we are open Wednesday-Sunday from 11:00AM-5:00PM. Tours are offered on the hour on a first-come-first-serve basis, with the exception of the following focus tours, which require advanced registration:

Thursday and Sunday at 2PM: "When Hamilton Called Albany Home"
Offered twice per week, this tour focuses on the life of Alexander Hamilton, husband of Elizabeth Schuyler, and his relationship with the Schuyler family. Reservations are required and can be made by calling the site within the current month ONLY. Space is limited - no other tours will be offered during the 2PM hour on these days.

Saturday at 2PM: "The Women of Schuyler Mansion"
This tour focuses on the women of the household - matriarch Catharine Van Rensselaer Schuyler and her 5 daughters, Angelica, Elizabeth, Margaret (Peggy), Cornelia and Caty. Most tours will be guided by a costumed interpreter. Reservations are required and can be made by calling the site within the current month ONLY. Space is limited - no other tours will be offered during the 2PM hour on these days.

Please be advised that all tours fill up quickly. We recommend coming at least 20-30 minutes in advance of daily tours and registering at least 1 week in advance of focus tours when possible. General tours typically take 45m-1hr. Focus tours are longer; 1hr15m-1hr30m. Calling in advance of your tour date is always recommended, as school groups and special events will effect the tour schedule.
