Seattle-King County Disaster Team

The Seattle-King County Disaster Team (SKCDT) supports medical clinics in rural Southwestern Haiti. Our medical clinics provide critical medical services in these impoverished, remote areas of Haiti. We have medical missions in the Grand'Anse province in February, April, June and October. We also provide support to our main clinic in Leon which operates year-round.

The clinics are also a place for health care providers to develop their skills in practicing effectively in an austere environment.

Team members also provide educational and consultative services to partner organizations in Haiti. We have also published several clinical research articles to share information we have obtained and help improve care in Haiti.

Our Board of Directors and clinic volunteers are all unpaid. Our volunteers pay their own way and donate their time to serve the patients at our clinics.
