Senior 8 representatives contact clients and their children/friends at least weekly to assess needs and plan services. Children and friends can then easily track clients' activities remotely. The service includes an outstanding emergency response system. A client personal history DVD is also included.

Emergency Response

At the very least, seniors need to be assured that someone is available 24/7 in case of an emergency. Senior 8’s service includes a watch-like, fitness-band style alarm button (not a dangerous hanging pendant), inactivity sensing, and monitoring to 300 yards. Personal emergency care is provided by local emergency responders.

Complete Medication Reminders

This interactive service not only alarms when medications are needed, but provides detailed, up-to-date medication information, and informs loved ones that medications are taken.

Nutrition

Seniors may eat poorly, and so naturally get weak. This service ensures loved ones that the senior plans and eats good, nutritious meals to remain strong and healthy.

Physical Exercise

Seniors become almost disabled without healthy exercise. Following along with full-motion videos of senior exercise is fun so the senior gets the exercise needed for physical health.

Environment

Water and sun are linked directly to senior physical and mental health. If the senior sits indoors all day, only drinking coffee and tea, he or she will become weak and depressed. This service ensures that the senior is getting enough hydration and vitamin D.

Mental Stimulation

Just as seniors need physical exercise, they need to exercise their brains; otherwise, dementia sets in. This video-based service helps the senior receive healthy mental stimulation each day.

Purpose and Hobbies

Having real purpose in life is essential for seniors. This service encourages the senior to choose and participate in fun activities and hobbies, creating real life purpose.

Socialization and Family Communication

Loneliness is a serious threat to a senior’s well-being. The senior needs to find fun in life interacting with others socially, and maintain close communication with family (if the senior has a family). This service ensures loved ones that the senior interacts with others, and through the use of Senior 8’s advanced technologies, seniors can talk face-to-face through the computer with loved ones.

Other Help

Seniors may need other services - yard work, transportation, Aid and Attendance help, or in-home care. Senior 8 makes contact at least weekly and arranges for all types of necessary services to ensure the senior gets the attention needed.
