As a freelance photographer, I enjoy letting the wind guide me wherever it may lead. My interests lie in the outdoors and its many inhabitants. Flowers and the very small things within the world are what draw my attention. Friends often find me looking under rocks or leaves for bugs or gazing, fascinated, at the texture on a tree stump.

I love the book The Lorax by Dr. Seuss. The idea that there are beings out there that would “speak for the trees, for the trees have no tongue,” inspires me to share my love of nature with others. My enthusiasm of biology and ecology and my desire to “speak for the trees” are the inspiration for my photography.

The world we live in is full of beauty from the smallest of flowers to the largest of mountains. My hope is to inspire others to see the beauty of nature through my photos and hopefully to instill in them a sense of pride and desire to take care of our world.

I live on a working cattle ranch in Colorado with my husband. The ranch is an important part in both our lives, where land stewardship, agriculture, and ecology all come together as one. I also enjoy rock climbing, hiking, playing basketball, reading, and spending time with my friends and family.
