Here at SERENE Shih Tzu…
we are a home based, small hobby breeder of quality Shih Tzu. We are not a kennel and therefore only have puppies a couple times a year. We take great pride in our breeding program and although we do not show our dogs in the ring at this point in our lives; we do strive for healthy, smart, loving, pet companions that stay within the AKC breed standard and sometimes offer the smaller Chinese Imperial size. All of which are sure to win "Best in Show" in any home.

**I am a Hobby Breeder**
Being a Hobby breeder means I keep my lines small and the pups are raised in my home with lots of love and attention. The dogs I have listed here on my site are the ONLY dogs I have in my breeding program. USDA now requires a license to be obtained if you have more then 4 breeding females. I only have 4 breeding females, so at this time I am not required to posses such a license. This does not mean my dogs are inferior to those with the USDA license. If I decide I want to expand my program, I will become licensed in both my state (Texas) and by the USDA. Until that point you are more then welcome to come visit me and the dogs in my home but in order to see my puppies, they must have their first set of shots which is at 8 weeks of age. This is for their protection.
