Servant's Heart Center

Servant's Heart Center began in 1999 as a small prayer group concerned for single mothers struggling to survive with their children. Food distribution started with thirteen food insecure families. Formal non-profit status was granted in 2000. The charity was housed in several donated venues; the last of which was an 1,800 square foot annex building at Pine Castle United Methodist. At time of vacating this building for a larger space, volunteers were reaching 180 families weekly with approximately 35 pounds of groceries each.

Servant's Heart Center moved to a 6,000 square foot rental property in May 2012. The mission was expanded to meet the needs resulting from the Great Recession of 2009. With focus still on children the Board saw the reality of senior hunger in the community.
