More about Seven Gables

1 Screen. Built in 1925. Operated by Landmark since 1989. The Seven Gables Theatre is located in Seattle's University District on the corner of 50th and Roosevelt, just around the corner from the Metro Cinemas. It is often described as "that house above the Italian restaurant" because of its cozy exterior of dark, shingled sides and the notorious gabled roof. Originally built in 1925 as an American Foreign Legion dance hall, the building remained theirs until 1976, when Seven Gables Theatres founder Randy Finley converted it into the chain's flagship theatre and corporate office.

Today, it features a healthy mix of independent film and foreign language cinema, with the occasional Hollywood favorite thrown in for good measure. Despite its down-home, cozy appearance inside and out, the Seven Gables is equipped for the modern movie-goer, featuring Dolby Digital sound and stadium-style seating.

Parking is available in free lot next to theatre or on surrounding neighborhood streets.

Sound Systems: Dolby Digital - Dolby SR - Dolby Stereo
