Before Black Dog Meadery was just a hope and a prayer, I started making meade for myself years ago after one of my soldiers introduced me to this ancient drink. “Sir- Try a swig of this”. Thus my love affair with Meade was born. Many years later, Black Dog Meadery was born. This is a 100% veteran owned company that has 2 goals. #1- We strive to make the finest and unique Meads on the small batch market. #2- We do this to have fun and to share our love of Meade.
