Founded in 1956, Shady Acres is a 12-acre Certified Organic farm situated in the fertile soil of New York’s Hudson Valley region. We provide the highest quality organic vegetables, fruit and berries to farmers’ markets, restaurants, and the community. Not only do we strive to offer the best in organic produce, but we also strive to offer the best in organic provisions, prepared organic meals, and farm to table events. We are a family-owned and operated farm that believes when you buy organic from your local farmer, you are working to maintain a healthy environment, a vibrant community, and a strong and sustainable economy. All of our produce is grown using ecologically and socially responsible farming methods that are free of pesticides and chemical fertilizers; the result is some of the freshest food that you have ever tasted.

Certified Organic Provisions
Food preservation isn’t a hobby for us, it is a way of life. If you haven’t tried any of our jams, jellies or relishes, you are missing an incredible sensory experience. All provisions are made using our certified organic produce. Spread our Blue Barb on your toast, melt our Caramel Pear on your ice cream, serve the Cucumber Marmalade with ham.
