I love photos! I love capturing a moment and stealing a second out of time. Beyond all that though, I love knowing that the memory is no longer stuck in just my mind but available to share with the world.
I remember the very first photo I took that made me realize I loved photography. My little brother, about nine years old at the time, was in the back yard playing under the orange tree with the hose. He was pretending to be a firefighter, going around the tree saving it from the "raging inferno". I was able to get a photo with his back to me, and though I can't see his face, the candid innocence is priceless to me.
Every time I look at that photo I'm right back in the yard watching him play completely uninhibited.
