We all have ideas about this word.

We all come from places that are vastly different from one another.
There are those who say that the differences will always win out, or that we are forever destined for conflict and disunity.

And yet, none of us want to live in a world like that; a world without love, joy or hope.

At Sharon United Methodist Church, we are taking part in the world’s oldest and greatest experiment.

Can love really win?
Can this cycle of pain and conflict be transformed into something good?
Can life really come from death?

You might say that if such an idea existed, it would change the world . . .

What if there was a new way of seeing?
What if there was a new way of living?
What if there was a new way to understand what it is to be part of a family . . . a family not based on blood, rules or expectations, but one united in love, compassion, humility and service to one another? This would have to be a family whose love and purpose reverberates from the source of all love and good things: the Divine Creator of the Universe.

At Sharon UMC, we are completely invested in these ideas.
We believe that big things start in small places; that massive trees grow from tiny seeds.
