Shayla B. Photography

I am a self taught photographer that did not realize my gift until my later years in high school. It began when I was using just a small, pink, digital pocket camera that I was given by my parents for my sixteenth birthday. Although it was just a regular point and shoot, I used it for more than just selfies or random moment shots. My Christmas and birthday lists from that point on started to include "a new and better camera" on them. On the Christmas of my senior year in high school, I received a brand new and more advanced camera. As far as my name, I decided on "Shayla B. Photography" because of what everybody in school called me. I never wrote my full last name on my papers in school, because of it being so long. People started to notice and just began calling me that as my original name. It went from just my friends, to their parents, to my teachers, and now to anyone that becomes a part of my life. I've been determined to make photography my career. I've fallen in love with not only taking a pretty picture but capturing the true and natural beauty of nature and people. My goal for every picture is when someone sees my photo they don't just see it but also feel the emotions. I put a part of myself in my work and want my viewers to automatically see that. I'm not at my best point within my photography, but I won't give up on being the best i can with it. I thank God for blessing me with this gift and for those who support me so much. I just want to do what I love while giving my clients "A Better Way To Remember" whatever moments they want me to capture. ♥
