Shearers Plumbing and Electric Inc.

In 1943 Don Shearer started a plumbing business named "Don Shearer Plumbing". He purchased a small building on the west side of Main Street. As the business grew Mr. Shearer needed more space and sold the building, and moved to a bigger location across the street on 106 S. Main. By the early 60's Don hired help to handle the continuing growth of the business. Don's son Jim in 1965 returned from the military and began working for his father. Around 1966 Don made Jim a partner and then changed the name of the business to "Don Shearer & Son Plumbing". In the late 60's and early 70's another building was purchased and another employee was hired. In 1977, Don retired, Jim took over the operation of the business and the business was Incorporated. Upon Incorporation the name of the business was changed a final time to "Shearer's Plumbing & Electric Inc". When Jim was ready to retire, the business was then sold to Jim's son Steve Shearer, completing three generations. Steve has international experience, schooling, training and a lot of experience to handle all your job needs Residential and Commercial.
