Shelby Skate Park

The Shelby Skate Park is a skate park for skateboarders in west park drive at veterans park. it has been around for years and is a popular place for teens and adult skateboarders. There have been repairs on the half pipe due to wood loss but is now fixed. It has heavy flooding on the left side of the skate park and is not skatable when it rains hard> it is vandilized by graffiti but is cleaned every year by the city workers. It is kept very clean around the skate park and there is rarely trash there. There is restrooms and a drinking fountian during the spring and summer(warmer climates) there has been one serious accident and nothing further(the skater was ok). People who skate are caring and always help others when in need or or when hurt.There are NO BIKES ALOUD!!!!! or rollerbladers or scooters. Skateboarders here do not take it well. Cops have came and told bikers and rollerbladers to go. There is a half pipe,two quarter pipes,a fun box, and a rail. It is very enjoyable. Helmet is not required but recommeded. Have fun!
