In 2010, I traded in full-time nursing to follow my passion for photography. Although I consider myself primarily self taught I hold a Diploma of Photography and I further studied at Melbourne's Photography Studies College. I am a member of the Australian Professional Photography Association and working towards full accreditation. I am also a member of the Wedding & Portrait Photographer's International.
I am a mother, a wife, an avid traveler, animal lover, outdoor enthusiast. My camera is a part of my day to day life as much as my grand adventures. I believe there is no greater treasure than capturing the unexpected, simple moments in life, and later holding it as a photograph.
My Approach: Documentary, candid, on-location, utilizing natural light.
I believe the best moments, personality, and spirit is captured during everyday activities and adventures - kids being kids, dogs being dogs, people doing what they do, places and things being just as found. I most often photograph spontaneously without intent. I prefer to be on the sidelines capturing spontaneous moments or events, but for the camera shy, creating moments is part of the fun.
When I am not photographing for myself or someone else I am planning my next adventure (or on it), spending time with family, and drinking wine while trying to find ways to save the world and stop time (so I quit aging and my little boy stops growing)!
