Shinja-Do Budokai Life Group

The Shinja-Do Budokai or "The Christian's Way Martial Arts Organization" was started in the fall of 2011 as a small group (now a Life Group) at Pointe North Community Church in Moncks Corner South Carolina. Our goal has been to provide an environment of fellowship for Christians wishing to practice and learn martial arts. All classes are designed to honor God and promote growth among our participants. This includes spiritual as well as physical advancement.
Classes are currently held on Thursday nights from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. We study Bu-jutsu with roots in traditional Shotokan Karate-Do and Japanese Aiki Jujutsu. These safety minded and controlled classes are open to anyone age 5 and up at any physical level. Instruction is at no cost and there are no contracts. While we have made every effort to provide a free service, it is recommended that participants buy a uniform. This is due to the durability that a gi provides preventing wear and tear on students clothing. It also allows for the free movement needed during karate training.
Please feel free to observe any of our classes if you wish. Anyone wishing to join can sign up at any time. Act fast however as openings are limited. Just come prepared to be a part of our family where you are accepted and loved. Please don't allow yourself to feel intimidated. Two things you wont find in this Life Group are judgement and machismo.
