Shoulders of Support, Incorporated

Two women met because their families' lives were dramatically impacted by cancer. Sam and Lowrissa had nearby friends and extended family to support them and help them during the difficult period, and each of them felt fortunate to have been able to focus on what mattered at the time - their child's treatment plan and road to being cancer-free.

It was this common experience that fed the mission of Shoulders of Support to ensure any family that had a child with cancer would be able to focus on what's important - their child - as SOS took care of the home and siblings. SOS is a haven of support for families that need help getting meals together, home maintenance completed, and siblings off to their activities.

Services are customized to each family's needs - including cleaning the home, ensuring an in-home sanctuary for the sick child, coordinating meals, shopping for groceries, and transporting and caring for siblings while the parents need to be away.

Shoulders of Support in a non-profit, volunteer organization with 100% of donations going towards the needs of the client families.
