Sid Griffith Equestrian Center

Established in 1976, Sid Griffith Equestrian Center is the oldest riding academy in the Columbus, Ohio area. Owner/founder, Sid Griffith is a judge/official in numerous major organizations including AQHA, NRHA, NSBA (Category 1), and USEF. Along with international judging experience, Sid is also the youngest rider in history to win the NRHA Open Futurity, one of the richest purses in horse showing today. As a trainer/exhibitor Sid has boasted major national wins in hunters/jumpers, reining, hunter under saddle, pleasure and halter. Sid has also consulted for Fortune 500 business owners, Nascar personalities, VIP's, OSU Trustees, and more. Wife, Leigh Ann is the longtime riding professor at The Ohio State University.

SGEC has been the official home of The Ohio State University Accredited riding program since 1976. The farm also hosts two IEA (Interscholastic Equestrian Association) teams for middle school and high school students. Providing show and scholarship opportunities for horse owners and non horse owners alike.

Additionally, the farm hosts an on site 4-H club, The Carousel Riders.

Horse and rider will enjoy the amenities of our historic facility with convenient access to I-70, 270, 33, 670 and more.

Facility amenities include: 100 x 200' indoor arena, 60 x 250 indoor arena, two lighted outdoors, an outdoor hunt course, 14 x 14 stalls (or larger), 11 grass four board paddocks, 4 all weather paddocks, 24 hour onsite care (barn managers and owner live on premises), trailer storage, access to large training staff, weekly farrier care, and top veterinary services.

Board: $425.00 per month
Turnout: $50.00 per month (weather permitting)
Disciplines: Hunters, Hunters Under Saddle, Western, Reining
Lessons: Ages 5 and older. Beginner through Adults.
Rates starting at $30.00 per hour for group flat classes and starting at $35.00 per hour for group jumping classes.
Training Rides: Starting at $15.00
Full showing and training services available for horse owners
Horse Leasing: Starting at $110.00 per month

Horse Sales and Stallion services (hunter under saddle and hunters/jumpers).
