Sierra Madre Villa is a freeway-median light rail station in the Los Angeles County Metro Rail system. It is located above Sierra Madre Villa Avenue in the median of the 210 Freeway in Pasadena, California. The station is served by the Gold Line.The station structure was designed by artist Tony Gleaton and features large photo portraits suspended above the platform access stairways. The adjacent 965-space parking structure was designed by artist Beth Thielen, using a theme of "nature and movement". The station, under naming schemes, is named for Sierra Madre Villa Avenue rather than the nearby city of Sierra Madre, although the major thoroughfare leads to Sierra Madre.The parking structure entrance is on Halstead Street on the east side of the structure. The station is accessed via a pedestrian bridge from the fourth level of the parking structure, which passes over the westbound lanes of the Foothill Freeway.Metro Rail serviceGold Line service hours are approximately from 5:00 AM until 12:15 AM daily.Foothill ExtensionThe station was formerly the terminus for the Gold Line.
