Sigma Nu Michigan State

Sigma Nu has one of the richest histories of any fraternity at Michigan State, dating back to the early 1930s. Our Fraternity has maintained an excellent reputation for many years with the University's Sororities, other Fraternities, the school's Inter-fraternity Council, students not affiliated with Greek-life, and the city of East Lansing. It is uniquely located close enough to downtown so that brothers can enjoy the nightlife of East Lansing while also being within walking distance of the University Campus. Fraternity-members often choose to live close to the Sigma Nu Chapter House even after they have lived in the fraternity because of such location. This has caused somewhat of a Sigma Nu village to spring-up surrounding the Chapter House which has further embedded our chapter to the city of East Lansing.

Aside from the social aspect that members profoundly enjoy, brotherhood and philanthropy are very important to our chapter as well. Each year for the MSU vs UofM football game, we hold a philanthropic event called the "Sigma Nu Football Run". During this event we raise money for a charity of our choosing by literally running a football from East Lansing to Ann Arbor. For the event we partner with an MSU sorority that shares a similar passion for giving-back to the community. The "Football Run" is also a great way of building brotherhood as it takes the will of every brother in order to get the football to Ann Arbor.
