Sigma Sigma Sigma is a member of the National Panhellenic Conference. Tri Sigma was founded in 1898 at the State Female Normal School in Longwood, Virginia, now known as Longwood University. Our organization was founded by eight women who formed a special bond over their time studying for teaching careers, which was a highly debated subject for women in the 1800s. The Epsilon Theta chapter was founded on February 28, 1987 at Oglethorpe University.
