Silver Spring Neighborhood Center is a nonprofit organization with a mission to build a safer, stronger neighborhood and community by helping more than 8,000 individuals and families towards self-sufficiency each year. For more than half a century, Silver Spring Neighborhood Center has had a proven track record of delivering high-quality programming. Silver Spring successfully offers core programs - from prenatal care coordination to child development, to youth and teen programs to adult and senior programs - in one facility.
Our Elaine Schreiber Child Development Center serves children from six weeks to 12 years using best practices in Early Childhood Education and before and after school care. Our Emergency Services offers emergency food and clothing for the 53218, 53209, and 53225 zip codes. The Adult Services program provides employment assistance through the Transform Milwaukee Jobs Program. We also offer GED Preparation, Basic Skills and English as a Second Langauge (ESL classes).
