Simple Treasures by Heather Photography

My name is Heather. I am married to my best friend and together we have been blessed with two sons; who have been my inspiration in life in many ways. The birth of my first son sparked my passion for photography. It started with taking monthly photos; so I could marvel at how much he was growing, and capturing the many milestones of my baby boy. Then I started to realize that I really enjoyed taking pictures and it became a hobby. I just love capturing the simple treasures in everyday life. I love “in the moment” photos because they capture true emotions and memories. Over the past couple of years I have tried pursuing other areas, but I always seem to end up with a camera in my hand.

My goal is not to capture smiles; but emotions instead. There is a difference between a smile produced for a camera and a one that comes from true joy and happiness. I love to capture life's simple treasures as they are; therefore I don’t believe in over editing photos. The best photos are captured when everyone is in a comfortable environment so the location is your choice. However, keep in mind, it is not always about the location, it is about capturing the moment. Instead of being limited in a studio, I prefer to take photos in our natural environments; the best place to capture true memories.
