Simply Collective

My greatest achievement in life, I always believed cliché to say, is my daughter Freya. She has been the inspiration for many of my sewn items as well as the motivation to pursue bigger dreams with my business. It started out a hobby as "Owl-ways A Hoot". Only going to local vendor shows. Now, I'm opening my own handcrafted décor & boutique right in my backyard! I find it relaxing, fun and empowering to create. Taking an ordinary piece of wood and turning it into something- anything with power tools. Self-teaching myself with some YouTube videos or a phone call to Papa Craig. I run all the power tools myself. I purchase the wood and then saw, sand, paint and stain. I'm in control from start to finish. I continue to learn more efficient ways to assemble and better materials to use. There is truth in the saying " you learn something knew everyday". The same with sewing. I'm by no means a professional. My items are more so perfectly imperfect. I find inspiration and then I draw my own patterns and start up my sewing machine and go into a zone. Call my workshop "my happy place". I believe anybody and everybody has the talent within themselves to create. That's where the idea to have "SIP-A-CLASS" nights derived. What would be more fun than inspiring others to become empowered by finishing their own crafts? All the while being able to sip on their favorite beverages, have some quality time with old friends, make new friends and just have a night away from it all.
