Siouxland Welcome

WELCOME is designed to be an informal gathering of people new to the Siouxland area. (If you are really new the Siouxland area consists of Sioux City, North Sioux, South Sioux, LeMars, Hinton, Dakota Dunes, and Sergeant Bluff). The group hopes to attract those looking to meet a few friendly faces, in addition to learning more about the community, the best local resources, and surrounding churches. Our goal is to make the transition of relocating easier for you and your family, show God’s love in a friendly manner, and answer any questions you may have about Siouxland. As leaders who are fairly new residents ourselves, we do not claim to have all-encompassing knowledge and information about Siouxland, however we will do our best to find necessary answers and/or to point you in the right direction. This group does not operate as an exclusive club but rather is open to everyone. Moving can be difficult, especially when attempting to re-establish a social life, whether for you or your entire family. Therefore, it is the organization’s intent to also coordinate activities outside of the group’s normal meeting time to further establish connections and relationships.

Welcome meets the second Tuesday of each month from 5:30-6:30p.m. at Sunnybrook Community Church. Sunnybrook is located at 5601 Sunnybrook Dr. Sioux City, IA 51106.
