Sit Means Sit Frederick offers private lessons, group classes, day train programs and board and train programs for ANY dog, ANY age, ANY problem. The first step is scheduling an evaluation so that we can professionally determine your dog's needs. We specialize in formal obedience training and off-leash training.

Kari and Gary Pigott own SMS Frederick and SMS Rockville-Potomac. Kari has a background in training and helping find homes for shelter dogs. She is and AKC Certified Canine Good Citizen Evaluator. Kari is certified through the Sit Means Sit school's three week course. Gary's background is in showing and competing with dogs and he is the vice president of the Working American Pit Bull Terrier Club and the President of Alexandria Schutzhund Group. Together they have experience in trick training, dock diving, Schutzhund/IPO, basic agility, behavioral modification. This combined knowledge gives them the skills to work with any type of behavioral issue from puppy basics, to anxiety, to aggression.
